Intake
The questionnaire, retired.
Most firms still open an engagement by attaching a PDF. Ours opens with a secure intake built for the way families actually gather their information: gradually, at the kitchen table, with a phone in one hand.
The way it usually goes
- 1A 14-page questionnaire arrives as a PDF attachment
- 2Print it, find a pen, abandon it on the kitchen counter for a week
- 3Handwrite account numbers you had to go find anyway
- 4Scan or photograph the pages, badly, or drive them to the office
- 5A paralegal retypes every word, introducing the occasional typo into your mother's maiden name
Two to three weeks, on a good matter.
The way it goes here.
A private link, after your consultation
Intake opens only once we have met and cleared conflicts, so you are never typing your family's details into a cold form.
Questions in plain English, in order
Family first, then property, then wishes. Each section explains why it asks what it asks, and skips what does not apply to you.
Save, close, resume
Estate inventories are homework. The form waits patiently while you find the deed, and marks exactly where you left off.
Photograph the paperwork
Deeds, statements, prior wills: photograph them with your phone and attach. No scanner has to be located, ever.
Drafts begun before you arrive
Your answers flow into our drafting system, reviewed by your attorney rather than retyped by anyone. The second meeting starts at the interesting part.
Client intake opens after a consultation. That part takes four questions. In this demonstration, the portal itself is illustrative.
Security note: intake runs over an encrypted connection to systems under the firm’s control, is visible only to your legal team, and is retained under the same duty of confidentiality as everything else you tell us.
